Following our August break for the Diagnostics group, we’re ready to start working, step-by-step, through the COVID-19 testing data journey, with an eye towards better understanding—and improving—data interoperability. At Thursday’s meeting, we will focus on a core data element: the unique device identifier (UDI). Join us to learn more about the UDI—how it is generated, where UDIs are stored, and how it can be used. We’ll  hear from two ‘super-users’ of the unique device identifier (Dr. Joseph Drozda with the large health system Mercy and Terrie Reed of Symmetric Health Solutions, a vendor that helps health systems make better use of the UDI).
